The Critical Care Organ Donation Program provides support for organ donation to critical care and emergency staff at Capital Health and all other Nova Scotia health care facilities. Its goals are to ensure all families are offered the option of organ and tissue donation, provide safe organs and tissues for transplant, and promote organ and tissue donation to health care professionals and the general public. The program runs collaboratively with the Multi-Organ Transplant Program and the Regional Tissue Bank. It is located at the QEII Health Sciences Center in Halifax.

The Regional Tissue Bank, located at the QEII Health Sciences Centre, retrieves and distributes donated tissue for use in life-saving and life-enhancing procedures. It provides services such as donor assessment, screening and coordination, and tissue recovery, processing, storage and distribution.
